1. Monitoring and control hydro power plants
Monitoring and control systems are the central equipment for running a hydro power plant. These systems are not only used for daily operation controls and monitoring, but are also equipped with a protection system to protect the equipment in case of an accident, a recording system to record accident information, and a communication system for communications between the power plant and a remote control room.
The integrated control system in which various functions, such as main control, speed adjustment, excitation control, transmission, and protective relay, are modularized. This integrated control system realizes space- and cost-saving, reduction of on-site construction and test periods and consolidation of monitoring and operations.
2. Thermal power generation systems
A conventional thermal power generation system generates electricity by rotating steam turbines and generators with the steam from water heated in boilers in which fossil fuels (including coal, oil and natural gas) are burned. In comparison with combined cycle power generation, conventional thermal power generation can use a wider variety of fuels from inexpensive coal to clean natural gas.
Monitoring and control system
The advanced monitoring and operation system is achieved through the application of knowledge engineering and human-machine engineering. Besides, improved facility maintenance support is achieved by integrating with a management information system and facility maintenance system.
