Reactive Power Compensation Panel
Power Factor Correction Panels are primarily used to improve the power factor (cosφ), thereby reducing reactive power (non-working power) and minimizing energy losses to achieve cost savings. Additionally, users can avoid or significantly reduce penalties for low power factor as regulated by the electricity utility.
The panel consists of capacitor banks connected in parallel with the load, which are automatically controlled by a power factor controller through contactor-based switching devices. This setup ensures optimal compensation based on real-time power demand.
