110KV TU KY SUBSTATION OFFICIALLY PUT OPERATION, STRENGTHENING THE REGIONAL POWER GRID
The 110kV Tu Ky Transmission Line and Substation is a Level-II, Group-C energy project invested by the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) and directly managed by the Power Development Project Management Board. With extensive experience in similar projects, AIT is proud to have been selected as the contractor for the supply and installation of equipment for the 110kV substation, as well as the SCADA communication system.

Overview of the 110kV Tu Ky Substation
Accordingly, AIT was responsible for supplying and installing:
• Control and protection panels, AC/DC power supply panels, information–computer–surveillance camera systems;
• A complete 35kV medium-voltage switchgear lineup, meeting safety standards and ensuring flexible operation;
• Primary equipment (circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, surge arresters, support insulators, etc.) in compliance with all requirements set by the investor.

Equipment supplied and installed by AIT at the 110kV Tu Ky Substation
The substation is equipped with a 40MVA transformer and designed with two 110kV double-circuit feeder bays, with a total transmission line length of approximately 7.8 km. It is also fitted with a remote monitoring and control system (SCADA), a security camera network, and an automatic fire protection system—meeting EVN’s standards for unmanned, remotely controlled substations and aligning with the national grid digitalization roadmap.

The 110kV Transmission Line and Substation officially commissioned Q4/2025
The project will help relieve overload for neighboring 110kV substations, reduce power losses on the medium-voltage grid, and expand electricity supply capacity to rapidly growing industrial zones and residential areas in the locality. It also stands as a clear demonstration of the alignment between urban development planning and energy infrastructure expansion, supporting Hai Phong’s development goals for the 2025–2035 period.
