AIT GROUP COMMISSIONS SHUNT CAPACITOR BANK AT 110KV BUSBAR OF TRUC NINH SUBSTATION – NAM DINH

Overview of the capacitor bank installation area at Truc Ninh 110kV Substation – Nam Dinh
The project is part of the Nam Dinh Provincial Power Development Plan for the 2016–2025 period with an outlook to 2035, and the local 110kV power system development plan. The installation of the shunt capacitor bank at the 110kV medium-voltage busbar of Truc Ninh 110kV Substation in 2025 was invested by EVNNPC and delegated to Nam Dinh Power Company – a subsidiary of EVNNPC – as the project management representative. AIT Group was once again honored to be selected as the contractor responsible for the procurement and supply of primary equipment (VTTB), construction, installation, and configuration of the capacitor feeder.

For capacitor bank installation projects, construction under live substation conditions requires stringent safety compliance and a high degree of precision. With strong determination and professional expertise, engineers and staff of AIT Group and partner contractors overcame all challenges to successfully bring the project to completion in April 2025.

On April 24, 2025, the shunt capacitor bank at the 110kV medium-voltage busbar of Truc Ninh Substation was officially tested, energized, and put safe operation in accordance with the committed quality standards. This successful commissioning marks another milestone demonstrating the dedication of AIT Group’s workforce—consistently striving for excellence in both project progress and quality.

The operation of the capacitor bank is expected to enhance power supply reliability in Truc Ninh District, Nam Dinh Province. It will support the local socio-economic development and align with the provincial power development planning approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
