AIT GROUP COMPLETES INSTALLATION OF T2 POWER TRANSFORMER AT 110KV TRA LINH SUBSTATION, THAI BINH PROVINCE

Officially launched in February 2025, the project is invested by the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) and managed by the Northern Power Construction Project Management Board – BA3. AIT Group was honored to be selected as the contractor responsible for the supply, transportation, and installation of primary equipment (VTTB) for the 110kV substation.

As a Grade II power project, the scope includes: installation of the 110kV T2 transformer with a capacity of 63MVA; installation of 110kV synchronised equipment and 22kV medium-voltage switchgear cabinets; and completion of the remote monitoring, metering, and control system. The substation is fully integrated for remote operation and communication with the regional load dispatch center via standardized data exchange protocols.

Thanks to the high level of determination and coordinated efforts by AIT Group’s engineers, departments, and partner contractors, the energization of the T2 transformer at Tra Linh 110kV Substation was completed on May 1, 2025, on schedule and in full compliance with the technical quality standards required by the investor.

Once operational, the project will enhance the power supply capacity and reliability for the Lien Ha Thai industrial–urban–service zone and surrounding areas. It will help reduce power losses, improve grid efficiency, and support the socio-economic development of Diem Dien Town, Thai Thuy District, and the entire Thai Binh Province.
