Launched in March 2024, the project is classified as a level-2 energy infrastructure (Group B) investment, the Power Grid Project Management Board - Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) acting as the Investor. With a total investment of nearly VND 80 trillion, the project includes the construction of a new 110kV double-circuit transmission line connected to the newly built 110kV Loc Binh Substation; and a new 110kV Substation equipped with two 110/35/22kV transformers with a capacity of 2x40MVA. The project also features remote data acquisition, monitoring and control system; a surveillance camera system; and an automatic fire prevention and suppression system.

Overview of the 110kV Loc Binh – Lang Son Project

AIT Group, building on a successful track record of completed projects throughout 2024, served as the contractor responsible for supplying, transporting, and installing equipment for the 110kV substation. The team ensured the facility was energized safely and put into comissioning under unmanned operation mode, successfully integrated with the Lang Son Regional Remote Control Center.

AIT Group alongside partner contractors wasted no time after the official handover of the construction site, immediately mobilizing with a high level of determination and working tirelessly—including through national holidays and even Lunar New Year -to meet the project's demanding schedule. Thanks to strong coordination with local authorities and leadership from EVNNPC, the team overcame major obstacles, including difficult mountainous terrain and harsh winter weather. Backed by a dedicated team of engineers and employees, AIT Group prioritized all available resources to deliver the project and on time.

By January 23, 2025, the 110kV Loc Binh – Lang Son Transmission Line and Substation Project was officially accepted and successfully energized—reaching completion just in time to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Snake. In recognition of its outstanding performance, AIT Group was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Executive Committee of the Lang Son Provincial Labor Federation. The award honors the company’s achievements in the emulation campaign celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2025).

The successful commissioning of the 110kV Loc Binh Substation not only marks a remarkable begin to AIT Group’s 2025 journey but also serves as a bright spot in promoting socio-economic development in Loc Binh District and Lang Son Province more broadly. Once in operation, the project will ensure the safe, stable, continuous, and high-quality supply of electricity to Loc Binh and neighboring areas. It will also help reduce power losses on the medium-voltage grid, benefiting residents and small to medium-sized enterprises.
