Overview of the installation area for Transformer 2 at Long Dien (An Ngai) 110kV/22kV Substation

Commencing in March 2024, the project to install Transformer 2 at Long Dien (An Ngai) 110kV/22kV Substation is an important project for the 2024–2025 period in Ba Ria – Vung Tau, invested by Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC). It is in line with the power development plan, aiming to ensure a stable electricity supply for key local economic projects. AIT Group is the contractor for the procurement package of 110kV grid equipment for the 2024 investment and construction needs of the Southern Power Project Management Board and the power companies of Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, and Tay Ninh. Notably, this is also the first project where AIT Group provided equipment based on the digital substation solution (using GE’s Process Bus technology) for the EVNSPC grid.

Right after groundbreaking, the project received close guidance and support from local authorities, EVNSPC leadership, and PC Ba Ria – Vung Tau. AIT Group and other contractors coordinated effectively, working with urgency and determination to meet the assigned schedule. By November 14, 2024, Transformer 2 was accepted and officially energized for operation.

This project not only plays an important role in the power development plan of Ba Ria – Vung Tau in 2024, but also contributes to the 70th anniversary celebration of the Vietnam Electricity sector (December 21, 1954 – December 21, 2024), marking a significant milestone for PC Ba Ria – Vung Tau and EVNSPC as a whole.

After being put into operation, Transformer 2 will work in tandem with Transformer 1 to ensure reliable power supply for Long Dien District and surrounding areas, contributing to local economic development and improving the quality of life for residents.
