AIT GROUP SUCCESSFULLY ENERGIZES AND PUTS INTO OPERATION DINH QUAN 220KV SUBSTATION

Construction of the Dinh Quan 220kV Substation began on December 31, 2021, in Phu Vinh Commune, Dinh Quan District, Dong Nai Province. The project is invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) and managed by the Southern Power Project Management Board (SPMB). Drawing on its extensive experience and proven capability across major projects, AIT Group was honored to be the contractor for the supply, installation, and integration of the primary and secondary equipment, communication systems, and SCADA for this project.

At this stage, the substation has successfully completed the installation of two transformers with a total capacity of 500MVA:

• 220kV side: Installation of 7 bays, including 4 feeder bays, 2 transformer bays, and 1 transfer bay.
• 110kV side: Construction of 9 bays, including 5 feeder bays, 2 transformer bays, 1 bus coupler bay, and 1 ring bus bay. All construction work and equipment installation — including primary, secondary systems, and fire prevention — were completed.
• 22kV side: Connection of cables from the 22kV terminals of the 220/110/22kV transformers AT1 and AT2 through medium-voltage breakers to supply the station’s auxiliary transformers.

AIT Group, in coordination with other contractors, executed the project smoothly, ensuring compliance with both schedule and quality standards. With the support and guidance from EVNNPT leadership and related units, the substation was officially accepted and successfully energized on October 31, 2024, marking its safe entry into operation.

The successful energization of the Dinh Quan 220kV Substation not only contributes to AIT Group’s 2024 objectives but also reaffirms AIT’s commitment and capability across its projects. Once in operation, the substation will play a key role in meeting the growing economic and social development needs of Dong Nai Province and surrounding areas, supporting national energy security, and ensuring reliable power supply for the Southern region’s socio-economic and defense development.
