AIT GROUP SUCCESSFULLY ENERGIZES AND PUTS INTO OPERATION THE T2 TRANSFORMER PROJECT – 220KV YEN MY SUBSTATION, HUNG YEN

Overview of the T2 Transformer installation area – 220kV Yen My Substation
The T2 transformer was installed as part of Phase 2 of the 220kV Yen My Substation project in Yen My District, Hung Yen Province. Classified as a level I energy infrastructure project – Group B, it is invested by the Power Transmission Project Management Board – a branch of the National Power Transmission Corporation. Following Phase 1, this stage involved the addition of one 220kV – 250MVA transformer.

For this project, AIT Group was honored to be selected by the Power Transmission Project Management Board as the contractor responsible for supplying, transporting, and installing secondary equipment and SCADA communication systems.

With the support of the leadership of the Power Transmission Project Management Board and local authorities, AIT Group and its partner contractors maximized resources to ensure efficient project execution. By December 31, 2024, the T2 Transformer at the 220kV Yen My Substation was officially accepted, safely energized, and put into operation in full compliance with the investor’s standards.

Immediately after being put into use, the T2 Transformer at the 220kV Yen My Substation will contribute to ensuring sufficient power supply for economic and social development, improving the quality of life for the people of Hung Yen Province. Additionally, it will strengthen the interconnection between regions within the power system, enhancing the stability and reliability of the national electricity grid.
