AIT GROUP SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLS AND ENERGIZES TRANSFORMER T2 AT 110KV NAM SON – HAP LINH SUBSTATION, BAC NINH

Commencing in March 2024, the project is classified as a grade II energy infrastructure project, group C, invested by the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC), with BA1 as the managing and supervising unit. The project involved the new installation of Transformer T2 with a capacity of 63MVA-115/35/23kV, along with switchgear systems, metering, measurement, and protection control equipment. Additionally, control and protection cabinets were added for newly installed bays and connected to the existing SCADA system.

Building on the success of numerous past collaborations with EVNNPC, AIT Group was honored to serve as the contractor providing equipment and installation services for this project, ensuring remote control functionality and unmanned substation operation upon commissioning.

The decision by EVNNPC to invest in installing Transformer T2 at 110kV Nam Son – Hap Linh Substation reaffirms the electricity sector’s commitment to upgrading the power grid infrastructure and enhancing the reliability of power supply for the region. With strong support from the leadership of Bac Ninh Province and EVNNPC, after six months of implementation, the project was successfully completed and energized on December 14, 2024, thanks to the high determination and maximum resource allocation by AIT Group and other involved contractors.

Once in operation, the project will help relieve overload from Transformer T1 at the 110kV Nam Son – Hap Linh Substation, meet the growing power demand, strengthen grid connectivity, and actively contribute to the economic, cultural, and social development of the region. It also creates favorable conditions to attract investment into concentrated industrial zones, especially the Nam Son – Hap Linh Industrial Park.
