AIT GROUP SUCCESSFULLY ENERGIZES AND COMMISSIONS THE 110KV TAM DUONG SUBSTATION – VINH PHUC PROVINCE

Overall of 10kV Tam Duong Substation

The 110kV Tam Duong transmission line and substation project is a Group B, Level II energy infrastructure project, spanning several communes: Gia Khanh (Binh Xuyen District), Hop Chau (Tam Dao District), and Kim Long, Huong Dao, Dao Tu (Tam Duong District), Vinh Phuc Province. In this project, AIT Group was responsible for supplying and installing both primary and secondary equipment for the substation, along with the SCADA information system.

The project has a total investment of nearly VND 168 billion and includes the construction of a 10.745 km 110kV double-circuit transmission line and a newly built 110kV substation with a designed capacity of 3x63MVA. In its first phase, the project saw the installation of one 63MVA transformer (110/35/22kV), fully integrated with a SCADA system connected to the Northern Region Load Dispatch Center and the Vinh Phuc Remote Control Center.

Amid Vinh Phuc's strong post-pandemic economic recovery and rising power consumption, the Tam Duong 110kV transmission line and substation project is considered a key investment to ensure the province’s power grid operates safely and stably. With dedicated support from local authorities and EVNNPC managers, AIT Group and partner contractors implemented with urgency and commitment, ensuring both project quality and progress.

Despite construction challenges, the substation was successfully energized at 14:44 on July 4, 2024. Now officially operational, it is expected to significantly reduce power losses and voltage drops while improving supply reliability and power quality across Tam Duong, Lap Thach, and nearby districts.

The successful energization of the Tam Duong 110kV Substation—thanks to the joint efforts of the Power Development Project Management Board, AIT Group, and partnering contractors—is not only vital to the power infrastructure of Tam Duong District and Vinh Phuc Province as a whole, but also supports the province’s Power Development Plan for 2016–2025, with a vision toward 2035, and aligns with the 110kV grid development plan approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
