AIT SUCCESSFULLY ENERGIZES THE 220KV GIA LOC SUBSTATION AND CONNECTING TRANSMISSION LINE

With the strategic orientation of becoming a key power junction for the new Hai Phong region and enhancing operational stability of the Northern power grid, the 220kV Gia Loc Substation and connecting line are classified as a Level-I, Group-B national industrial energy project. The scope includes the construction of the new 220/110/22kV Gia Loc Substation with three 220/110/22kV–250MVA transformers (two units of 250MVA installed in this phase, totaling 500MVA).

For this project, AIT was honored to be selected as the contractor for the supply and transportation of secondary equipment and communication equipment, as well as the provision of devices and software for the Environmental Monitoring and Control System (HTĐKMT).

Despite facing numerous weather-related difficulties, as the construction area was frequently affected by storms and heavy rainfall, the project was completed on time thanks to the direction of EVN, EVNNPT, and NPMB, along with the strong determination and focused efforts of AIT and all contractors during the critical final stages.

At 20:30 on October 13, 2025, the 220kV Gia Loc Substation and connecting line were officially energized and put safe, high-quality operation. This achievement also stands as a meaningful tribute to celebrate the successful First Congress of the Government Party Committee, term 2025–2030, held on October 12–13, 2025.
