ASPIRATION AND PERSEVERANCE: AIT GROUP’S SWIFT JOURNEY IN THE 500KV TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECT FROM NAM DINH 1 TO THANH HOA

Officially receiving the construction site in mid-January 2024, despite difficulties in site clearance and the intense pressure of time, AIT Group — as the representative of the consortium of contractors for the segment from VT151 to the endpoint of the project — made every effort to allocate resources and accelerate construction, in line with the Prime Minister’s directive: “Focus on doing, not debating.”

With the spirit of “enduring the sun, conquering the rain,” and the determination to complete the project by June 2024 as directed by the Prime Minister, by noon on June 30, 2024, the Nam Dinh 1 – Thanh Hoa segment was successfully energized. This marks another brilliant chapter in the journey of Vietnam’s power sector, demonstrating the unwavering resolve of our Party and Government in the strategy for industrialization and modernization.

The towering 500kV transmission towers rising across the skies stand as testimony to the relentless efforts of every individual and collective involved in this national key project. The nearly 520km-long double-circuit transmission line, spanning nine provinces and cities across North Central Vietnam, is nearing completion and will soon integrate into the national power grid.

Once completed, the project will play a key role in inter-regional grid connection, reducing overload on existing 500kV lines, and enhancing transmission stability between the North and Central regions. It will also help transmit power from sources in the North Central area to the major load centers in the Northern region, in conjunction with segments of the 500kV line from Quang Trach – Quynh Luu – Thanh Hoa – Nam Dinh 1 – Pho Noi.
