FOLLOWING A SERIES OF APRIL COMPLETIONS, AIT GROUP SUCCESSFULLY ENERGIZES 110KV VAN TRUNG 2 SUBSTATION

Van Trung 2 Substation – Bac Giang

Commencing in October 2023, the Van Trung 2 Substation and associated feeder project was completed and commissioned after just seven months of construction. The project was invested by the Northern Power Grid Project Management Board under the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC), with key components including: a newly constructed 110kV double-circuit overhead transmission line, a newly built 110kV substation, installation of two 110/22kV-63MVA transformers, and deployment of remote data acquisition, monitoring, metering, and control systems. It also includes surveillance cameras, automated fire protection systems, and integration with the Bac Giang Remote Control Center.

As the designated contractor, AIT Group was responsible for supplying, transporting, and installing all substation equipment. Backed by a solid track record and deep industry experience, the company worked in close coordination with all partnering contractors to meet deadlines and uphold stringent quality standards.

Thanks to close coordination and unwavering commitment, AIT Group and its partners consistently met project milestones while ensuring high construction quality. At exactly 22:51 on April 25, 2024, the 110kV Van Trung 2 Substation was successfully energized and officially put into operation. This achievement also aligns with national celebrations commemorating the 49th anniversary of Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2024) and the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 – May 7, 2024).

Van Trung 2 Substation – Bac Giang Prior to Commissioning

Now in operation, the substation will help reduce the load on the existing 110kV Van Trung Substation and meet the rapidly growing electricity demand from the Van Trung Industrial Park and Tang Tien Industrial Cluster in Viet Yen District, Bac Giang Province, for the 2021–2025 period and beyond.

The successful energization of the 110kV Van Trung 2 Substation and its associated feeder lines reaffirms the electricity sector’s commitment—particularly that of EVNNPC—to strengthening power infrastructure and ensuring a stable electricity supply for local communities and businesses in Bac Giang. It also reflects AIT Group’s continued dedication to supporting enterprise-driven economic, cultural, and social development, while contributing to the implementation of Vietnam’s Power Development Plan 2016–2025, with a vision toward 2035.
