INTRODUCING THE SIVACON S8 SWITCHGEAR – A NEW-GENERATION DIGITAL MAIN DISTRIBUTION BOARD

Co-organized by AIT Corporation and Siemens Vietnam, the event marked an important milestone, highlighting the collaboration between the two leading brands in the transfer of cutting-edge technology and the local manufacturing of the SIVACON S8 digital switchgear in Vietnam.

With modern equipment and a well-invested production infrastructure, the Siemens SIVACON S8 digital Main Distribution Board manufactured in Vietnam is designed for high-end customers across various sectors and applications, including Data Centers, Aviation & Seaports, LNG-to-Power facilities, High-speed Railways, Energy, and Industrial Systems. This product line aligns with the sustainability strategy of both AIT Corp and Siemens, offering superior capabilities—comprehensive digitalization to enhanced safety and continuous, efficient power supply.

The event also provided an opportunity for Mr. Andy Fong, representative of Siemens Digital Industries, to share insights the application of Siemens Simcenter software, digital twins, and simulation technologies — key tools in optimizing energy performance for next-generation Data Centers.

Alongside the introduction of the new SIVACON S8 switchgear, AIT Corp and Siemens hosted a seminar titled “Accelerating the Transition and Shaping the Future of Vietnam’s Energy Sector,” where experts discussed opportunities and challenges arising energy transitions in the digital era in relation to Vietnam’s National Power Development Plan for 2021–2030 (PDP8, post-adjustment).

During the seminar, Mr. Tăng Thế Hùng, Deputy Director General of the Electricity Regulatory Authority (Ministry of Industry and Trade), shared the key reasons behind the recent adjustments to PDP8 and highlighted the major changes of the updated plan.
