Overview of the 110kV Luyen Kim 2 Substation Project, Nghi Son, Thanh Hoa

The 110kV Luyen Kim 2 Substation is located within Nghi Son Steel Rolling Plant No. 2, situated in Nghi Son Economic Zone, Nghi Son Town, Thanh Hoa Province. The project, invested by VAS Nghi Son Group Joint Stock Company, was comprehensively implemented with a synchronized construction scale.

For this collaborative project with VAS Nghi Son Group, AIT Group was responsible for supplying equipment, completing the full installation, testing, and energization of the Luyen Kim 2 Substation—ensuring compliance with digital substation standards. Leveraging extensive experience in digital substation deployment, AIT Group worked in close coordination with related contractors to mobilize resources and ensure that the project was executed on schedule and met the committed quality standards.

Thanks to the trust and support from the investor, all AIT Group engineers and staff carried out the project with utmost effort and determination, aiming to kickstart the new year with success and momentum. By January 7, 2025, the Luyen Kim 2 Substation was officially accepted and energized, operating with five transformers to supply power for production activities.

As part of Nghi Son Steel Rolling Plant No. 2, the substation will play a key role in ensuring stable electricity supply for the plant’s operations, thereby supporting the local area in improving the quality of life for residents. This is also AIT Group’s first energized project in 2025, marking the beginning of a promising year full of new achievements and milestones on the journey of “Winning Together!”.
