According to the Power Development Plan for Hung Yen Province for the 2016–2025 period, with outlook to 2035, which aims to develop a synchronized transmission and distribution grid to meet the province’s socio-economic development goals, Hung Yen Power Company has actively implemented a wide range of investment solutions to upgrade its power network. In particular, it has focused on detailed planning for the medium- and low-voltage grids connected to 110kV substations to shorten the power supply radius, reduce power losses, and improve voltage quality.

To meet this objective, since October 2024, Hung Yen Power Company – a branch of the Northern Power Corporation – entrusted AIT Group as the contractor responsible for construction and procurement of equipment and materials (E&M) for the Capacitor Bank Installation Projects at the medium-voltage busbars of the 110kV Nhu Quynh Substation (Project 1) and the 110kV Khoai Chau and Minh Duc Substations (Project 2).

Driven by the determination to complete the project ahead of schedule and to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam Electricity Sector (December 21, 1954 – December 21, 2024), AIT Group mobilized maximum resources and manpower. The team of engineers and staff worked closely and efficiently with relevant contractors to accelerate project progress. With strong support from the leadership of authorities and the investor, the projects were successfully accepted and energized on the following dates:

• 110kV Khoai Chau Substation Capacitor Bank: completed and energized on December 14, 2024
• 110kV Nhu Quynh Substation Capacitor Bank: completed and energized on December 15, 2024
• 110kV Minh Duc Substation Capacitor Bank: officially completed and energized on December 22, 2024

Together with the implementation of the power grid development plan, the successful completion of these capacitor bank projects ahead of the New Year not only enhances the regional power network’s reliability and stability, but also aligns the development of the power grid with the socio-economic goals of the province and each locality, ensuring ever-improving electricity quality. 

The energization of all three substations in this project once again affirms the investor’s trust in AIT Group’s project execution capabilities and serves as a strong motivator for all AIT engineers and staff to stay committed to achieving the 2024 goals and advancing toward new accomplishments
