Overview of the 110kV Vinh Loc – Thanh Hoa Substation

The Vinh Loc 110kV Transmission Line and Substation project, funded by the Northern Power Project Management Board - Northern Power Corporation, commenced in September 2022. As a strategic infrastructure initiative within Thanh Hoa province’s 2021–2025 development plan, the project addresses the region’s rapidly growing electricity demand, which is forecasted to increase by approximately 15% annually. The scope of work includes the construction of a 6.315-kilometer double-circuit 110kV transmission line utilizing ACSR-300mm² conductors, and a new 110kV substation designed to accommodate two power transformers. In this phase, one 40MVA 110/35/22kV transformer has been installed and commissioned

Substation Yard – 110kV Vinh Loc – Thanh Hoa Substation

Leveraging its proven expertise in project execution nationwide, AIT Group was once again entrusted by the Northern Power Project Management Board to supply, transport, and install equipment for the 110kV substation. The facility meets modern operational standards, functioning as an unmanned substation with remote monitoring and control capabilities seamlessly integrated into Remote Control Center.

Closely adhering to the directives of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and the Northern Power Corporation, AIT Group developed a detailed execution plan, mobilized resources, and ensured strict adherence to quality and timeline requirements. Through tireless efforts and determination, AIT Group engineers and employees, in coordination with project partners, successfully energized the substation at 5:10 AM on May 27, 2024.
