SUCCESSFUL ENERGIZATION AND COMMISSIONING OF 110KV NÀ PHẶC SUBSTATION

The Nà Phặc 110kV Transmission Line and Substation Project in Bắc Kạn Province has a total investment of over VND 55.8 billion. It includes the construction of a 0.282 km double-circuit overhead 110kV transmission line using AC240 conductors, and a 110kV substation designed with two 25MVA transformers (one installed in this phase). The substation is equipped with remote monitoring, metering, and control systems, as well as a surveillance camera system, and is connected to the regional Control Center to operate as an unmanned station.

With a strong track record from previous projects, AIT Group was trusted by the Power Development Project Management Board to be the contractor responsible for supplying and installing primary equipment for the 110kV substation, as well as the SCADA communication system.

Overcoming various challenges, AIT Group and the contractors accelerated construction progress from early 2024, determined to bring the 110kV Nà Phặc project into operation within Q1/2024. With the collective effort of AIT engineers, workers, and contractors, the final stages of testing and energization were completed successfully at 18:39 on March 29, 2024.

As a project of significant importance to Nà Phặc Town in particular and Bắc Kạn Power Company in general, it received strong support from local authorities and the Power Development Project Management Board. This project is also a tribute to the 20th anniversary of the Power Development Project Management Board (April 1, 2004 – April 1, 2024).

Upon completion and commissioning, the 110kV substation will enhance grid interconnection, reduce the distribution radius of the medium-voltage grid, and minimize power loss and energy loss in Bắc Kạn’s distribution network. Additionally, it will support the region’s socio-economic development and improve the quality of life for residents, especially in Bắc Kạn City and the districts of Ngân Sơn, Na Rì, Ba Bể, and Pác Nặm.

The successful energization of the Nà Phặc 110kV Transmission Line and Substation Project not only contributes significantly to the Power Development Master Plan of Bắc Kạn Province for the 2016–2025 period (with outlook to 2035, approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade), but also reaffirms AIT Group’s project execution capabilities and strong work ethic. It serves as a source of motivation for AIT Group to accomplish its 2024 targets.
