SUCCESSFUL ENERGIZATION AND COMMISSIONING OF THE 110KV DINH HOA – THAI NGUYEN SUBSTATION AND TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECT

Constructed across several communes—Yen Do in Phu Luong District, and Phu Tien and Trung Hoi in Dinh Hoa District—the project was officially accepted, energized, and put into operation by the joint acceptance council comprising Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC), the Power Development Project Management Board (BA2), Thai Nguyen Power Company, and relevant partners.

The project involved building a new 10,993 km of double-circuit 110kV transmission line with ACSR240 conductors, forming a transfer connection on the Thai Nguyen – Bac Kan 110kV line. The substation includes one transformer with a capacity of 40MVA.

Equipped with advanced remote data acquisition, monitoring, metering, and control systems, as well as automated fire detection and surveillance cameras, the substation operates unmanned with continuous remote connection to the regional control center.

Thanks to the dedicated collaboration of all teams and proactive support from the investor in site clearance, the project was completed ahead of schedule and is slated for commendation by Northern Power Corporation. This development significantly improves power supply reliability, addresses growing load demands in Dinh Hoa District and surrounding areas, and aligns with Thai Nguyen’s power development plan for 2016–2025, with a vision extending to 2035, as approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
