SUCCESSFUL ENERGIZATION AND COMMISSIONING OF THE DONG BINH 110KV SUBSTATION

The 110 kV line and Dong Binh substation project was built in Nghia Thanh Commune, Nghia Hung District, Nam Đinh Province. The scope included the construction of 19.06 km of double-circuit 110 kV transmission line and two 63 MVA transformers. In this phase, one 63 MVA 110/22/10 kV transformer was installed. The project also comprised the erection of a 110 kV bay building, completion of five 22 kV medium-voltage outgoing feeders to the local grid, and installation of equipment for a flexible ring-main configuration.

AIT Group was honored to supply and install both primary and secondary equipment, as well as the SCADA information system, ensuring the substation meets unmanned-operation criteria.

Evaluated as a strategically important energy-industrial facility, Nam Dinh Power Company, the Power Development Project Management Board (BA2) of Northern Power Corporation, AIT Group, and partner contractors worked intensively to accelerate construction and successfully complete the project on December 18, 2023.

With this substation now in service, a reliable and continuous power supply is secured for southern Nghia Hung District and the Rang Dong industrial cluster within Nam Dinh’s coastal economic zone. The project also enhances system reliability, relieves overloads on surrounding substations, creates a medium-voltage ring-main interconnection, reduces losses, and supports local economic growth and investment attraction in Nghia Hung District and across Nam Dinh Province.
