SUCCESSFUL ENERGIZATION OF 110KV AMATA 1 SUBSTATION – PHASE 2 IN QUANG NINH PROVINC

Strategically positioned near Hai Phong Port and directly connected to the Mong Cai border gate via the highway network, Song Khoai Industrial Park has completed its Phase 1 development with notable projects such as Jinko Solar’s Silicon Wafer Plant 1 and 2, attracting a total investment of nearly USD 900 million. With these geographical and infrastructural advantages, the park has been a key driver in the formation of the Quang Yen Coastal Economic Zone and is expected to continue attracting strong investment inflows to Quang Ninh. To ensure a stable power supply, minimize production disruptions, and reduce operational losses for enterprises within the park, the completion and energization of the Amata 1 Substation – Phase 2 was a critical requirement.

Thanks to the trust of the Investor – Amata Ha Long City Joint Stock Company, AIT CORP was honored to participate in both phases of the Amata 1 Substation project:

Phase 1: AIT CORP, representing the AIT-Thanh Vinh Consortium, served as the contractor for survey, design, equipment supply, and construction of the 110kV Amata 1 Substation with a capacity of 1x63MVA, officially put into operation on November 15, 2021.

Phase 2: AIT CORP acted as the EPC Contractor, responsible for design, equipment supply, and construction of the substation with two transformers of 2x63MVA capacity. Key highlights include:

• Transformer T2 has been successfully energized and in operation, which helps to relieve load from T1, enhancing power reliability across the industrial zone.
• On the 110kV side, two additional 110kV bays were added for T2 and T3 transformers.
• On the 22kV side, the following distribution switchgear was added: 02 incoming circuit breaker panels, 10 outgoing circuit breaker panels, 02 metering panels, 01 auxiliary transformer panel, 02 sectionalizing switch panels, and 02 sectionalizing circuit breaker panels.

The successful energization represents a promising start to the Year of the Cat 2023 for AIT CORP, reaffirming our steadfast commitment to advancing Vietnam’s power infrastructure and contributing meaningfully to its sustainable development.
