SUCCESSFUL ENERGIZATION OF 110KV HOANG HOA 2 SUBSTATION – AIT GROUP MOVES TOWARD ACHIEVING 2024 GOALS

The 110kV Transmission Line and Substation Project in Hoang Hoa District, Thanh Hoa Province, is a key project of strategic importance. It is invested by the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) and managed directly by the Northern Power Projects Management Board. The project includes the construction of a 110kV double-circuit transmission line using ACSR-300mm² conductors to supply power to the Hoang Hoa 2 Substation, and the development of the new substation with the following components: installation of a 40MVA-110/35/22kV transformer; construction of the control and distribution building; installation of equipment, surveillance camera systems, fire prevention and fighting systems, etc., in accordance with unmanned substation standards; along with communication and SCADA systems.

Continuing its streak of successful project deliveries, AIT Group was honored to serve as the contractor responsible for supplying, transporting, and installing equipment for the 110kV transmission line and Hoang Hoa 2 Substation in Thanh Hoa. The project was accepted and energized on schedule, fully meeting the criteria and requirements set by the investor.

As a key project marking the 55th anniversary of EVNNPC’s founding (October 6, 1969 – October 6, 2024) and the 70th anniversary of the Vietnamese power sector (December 21, 1954 – December 21, 2024), it received strong support from local authorities and EVNNPC’s leadership. Thanks to the high determination of AIT Group and involved contractors, the 110kV Hoang Hoa 2 Substation was officially completed and energized on October 31, 2024.

Once operational, the project will enhance grid connectivity, improve the stability and reliability of the power supply, meet the growing load demand, and improve power quality in Hoang Hoa District and neighboring areas. It also aligns with the approved Thanh Hoa Provincial Power Development Plan for 2016–2025 with orientation toward 2035.
