SUCCESSFUL ENERGIZATION OF 110KV KINH NOI SUBSTATION UPGRADE PROJECT – QUE VO INDUSTRIAL PARK, BAC NINH

Originally built in 1997 using traditional control systems and T-connection line configuration, the substation had become outdated amid increasing load demand and growing requirements for grid stability. The upgrade aimed to modernize its control and protection systems in line with current technical standards.

Overview of the 110kV Kinh Noi Substation

AIT Group served as the main contractor for the construction, supply, and installation of equipment for two feeder bays and busbars C11 and C12, completing the substation’s single-line diagram. The company also performed testing and commissioning services for the energization of the substation. AIT Group delivered a fully integrated solution, covering primary and secondary equipment, communication systems, and SCADA, ensuring the substation met all technical and regulatory requirements for safe and reliable operation.

In alignment with Bac Ninh Power Company’s project to eliminate T-connections, the work was carried out intensively through the New Year holidays to stay on schedule. Thanks to the dedication of AIT Group and its partners, the project was successfully energized at 18:00 on January 1st, making it the first energization achievement of 2024 for the Group.

The successful energization of the 110kV Kinh Noi Substation upgrade on the first day of 2024 marks a strong and optimistic start to the new year for AIT Group. More importantly, it enhances the reliability and stability of power supply for the substation.

The upgrade ensures uninterrupted electricity even during unexpected faults on 110kV transmission lines, minimizing outage durations and protecting product quality. It also meets the growing power demands of key industrial clients, including the Vietnam Float Glass JV and the N2, H2 gas production facility.
