THE WORK SITES THAT NEVER TAKE A TET BREAK!

The 500 kV Line 3 runs approximately 514 km from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen). Funded by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) under Vietnam Electricity (EVN), it comprises four component projects. Given its critical role in inter-regional grid connectivity and the need to supply the North during the peak summer months, the Prime Minister has personally ordered full project completion by June 2024.
Faced with this tight schedule, AIT Group’s engineers and crews—and those of many partner contractors—are working “three shifts, four teams” through Tet to ensure both speed and quality.
To boost morale, on February 11, 2024 (the second day of Tet), Mr. Phạm Lê Phú—General Director of EVNNPT—visited and encouraged the crews on the 500 kV Quynh Luu–Thanh Hoa line section.

At Tower 150 in Tan Phuc Commune, Nong Cong District—one of 12 tower-foundation sites under Packages 19 and 21 handled by AIT Group—consultants, contractors, and all construction teams remained fully on duty through Tet, hastily installing steel reinforcement for the foundations. Since site handover on January 27, 2024—just over two weeks earlier—AIT Group and partners have opened four foundation sites; each foundation is expected to finish in about one month.

The next day, February 12, 2024 (the third day of the lunar New Year), Mr. Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, General Director of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), along with an EVN/EVNNPT delegation, visited and encouraged the crews on the Nam Đinh I Thermal Power Plant–Pho Noi section.
AIT Group is executing two packages there: Package 44 (Towers 42–57 in Nghia Son, Nghia Trung, Nghia Thai, and Nghia Chau communes, Nghia Hung District, Nam Đinh Province) and Package 47 (Towers 84–97 in Binh Minh, Nam Duong, and Nam Hung communes, Nam Truc District, Nam Đinh Province). Site handover was January 25, 2024, and progress is on schedule.

At the site, EVN leaders praised AIT’s organization and recognized it as the best-performing contractor on the project.

The attention shown by EVNNPT leadership over Tet is a powerful encouragement for all contractor personnel to “outshine the sun, conquer the rain,” ensuring the project meets its June 2024 deadline—supporting local economic development and improving residents’ lives.
